00:00.230 --> 00:01.190
With this video.

00:01.220 --> 00:06.590
I want to introduce the next section of the course, which is going to focus on off page SEO.

00:06.620 --> 00:13.640
If you recall, this is the third and hardest phase of SEO, and the first phase of SEO was keyword

00:13.640 --> 00:14.280
research.

00:14.300 --> 00:21.590
The second phase is on page SEO, and the third phase is what we're going to do now off page SEO.

00:21.620 --> 00:27.920
Now the first two keyword research and on page you see those are easy because you don't have to ask

00:27.920 --> 00:29.090
anyone for permission.

00:29.090 --> 00:33.680
You can do your keyword research, you can put those keywords correctly on your website.

00:33.680 --> 00:36.410
That's the on page SEO and you're done.

00:36.530 --> 00:46.250
The challenge with off page SEO is that you have to get other website owners to link to your website

00:46.250 --> 00:47.720
to mention your website.

00:47.720 --> 00:54.620
That's hard to do because you have to do some outreach or you have to get noticed, or you have to go

00:54.620 --> 01:01.590
beyond yourself for permission for, you know, to make it all make sense for the other people to.

01:01.620 --> 01:03.510
So this can be a little bit time consuming.

01:03.510 --> 01:05.610
It can be a little frustrating to do.

01:05.610 --> 01:14.580
And this is why I tried really hard to get as much as possible with for your SEO, with your keyword

01:14.580 --> 01:20.990
research and your on page SEO so you don't have to do as much off page SEO.

01:21.000 --> 01:26.370
And of course, the off page SEO is going to include we're going to be covering how to get citations

01:26.370 --> 01:31.170
for your business, how to get brand mentions, how to get social sharing, how to get backlinks, because

01:31.170 --> 01:36.660
traditionally backlinks have been the number one ranking factor in Google.

01:36.690 --> 01:44.040
Of course, now Google ranking factors are so, so, so complex that you need everything to work in

01:44.040 --> 01:44.910
concert.

01:45.180 --> 01:51.660
So that's actually what we're going to cover is many of the off page SEO factors so that you're well

01:51.660 --> 01:55.110
equipped to handle your off page SEO.

01:55.110 --> 01:59.430
And as you build your off page SEO, you build website authority.

01:59.430 --> 02:04.890
As you get those backlinks into your site, your website authority grows in Google's eyes, and when

02:04.890 --> 02:11.610
that happens, they rank you higher for most, not just 1 or 2, but most of the keywords you are targeting.

02:11.610 --> 02:15.390
So now that you know what to expect from this section, let's begin.
